A place for life’s essentials: Art, wine, and connection.
Nuwave is a contemporary art gallery featuring the work of Erin Oostra, as well as a diverse portfolio of rotating artists. In collaboration with Fortuity Cellars, we are a space for people to enjoy art, get creative, and be inspired. We do this by curating artists along with highlighting all creatives in our community through our permanent installation: the community wall. Our mission is to showcase artists, create a space for people to gather, and support those who help make our communities better.
About the owner:
Owner + curator Erin Oostra is a Washington-based painter and visual designer best known for her impressionistic landscape paintings.
She embraces a multi-disciplinary approach to creation, melding her strategic experience as a product designer with her love for strong, fluid painting.
Erin’s work has been featured in galleries, restaurants, cafes, event venues, wineries, and breweries all across the Pacific Northwest, and she continues to expand her reach.
Located in the heart of the Downtown Ellensburg Historic District.
At Nuwave, we foster connections through connection. Our partner, Fortuity, offers up a delightful array of fruit-forward wines, showcasing the best that Yakima Valley has to offer. We supply the art. It’s a match made in heaven.
“My goal is that this will be a place for welcoming wonder into your everyday life. Nuwave will showcase my passion for the outdoors through the lens of art and design. It will also be a space for people to connect, be inspired, and share their creativity.” — Erin Oostra
About the space:
Nuwave gives back
When supporting Nuwave Gallery, you can count on the fact that your purchase will benefit the local community. Each quarter Nuwave chooses a local art-related non-profit to donate to along with Fortuity Tasting Room.
Nuwave also has a community wall for anyone who wants an opportunity to hang art in a gallery. All submissions to the Community Wall are considered donations under the care of Nuwave Gallery. When any art from the wall is purchased, it is a 100% donation to the cause of the quarter.
Want to share your work?
We welcome the work of many artists on a monthly rotational basis and are accepting applications for 2024.
