Ellensburg Arts Commission Announces the Opening of the 2024 Project Grant Cycle
ELLENSBURG, Wash. — The Ellensburg Arts Commission (EAC) is pleased to announce the 2024 EAC Project Grant application process. The online submission process will open June 15 and close on 5:00 pm August 31, 2023. Successful project applications can receive awards up to $1000 for individual artists and up to $2500 for organizations to support projects for 2024. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application. The EAC Arts Project Grant program was created to provide monetary support for creative activities and events for artists and arts organizations who can demonstrate community benefit, artistic merit, and achievability of projects, activities, or performances. Past projects receiving support have included the development and/or presentation of new artworks and hosting arts-related events (performing and/or visual arts). Approximately $30,000 in grants were awarded for 2023.

The Ellensburg Arts Commission was created for the purpose of advising the Ellensburg City Council on matters concerning the performing, literary, and visual arts; to encourage and promote art activities of individuals, organizations, and governmental agencies in the city; and to formulate and recommend to the Ellensburg City Council a program for the advancement of the arts throughout the community. Comprised of seven members, the commission meets monthly.
