Found Form: Possibilities in Woodworking

July 5th - SEPTEMBER 2ND

Nuwave Gallery is thrilled to announce our woodworking show, "Found Form," opening with the First Friday Art Walk on July 5th from 5-8 pm. This exhibition explores the theme of POSSIBILITIES, showcasing the boundless creative potential of woodworking.

Wood, with its inherent versatility and beauty, offers an endless array of possibilities—from intricate carvings to bold, modern designs. The theme "Possibilities" invites our talented artists to explore new techniques, push the boundaries of their craft, and demonstrate the incredible versatility of wood as a medium. We hope this theme will inspire everyone to imagine the limitless possibilities that woodworking can bring.

Featured Woodworking artists:

Ryan Dykes (@bernies_builds) | Ryan is a woodworker at heart. Focusing on larger pieces such as tables and desks but uses his scraps to create one of a kind pieces of art.

Amanda Whitworth (@_sawdustandsoul) | Amanda is Pacific Northwest Wood Artist inspired by the beauty all around us and her personal health journey with cancer over the last 20 years. Each piece is infused with hope, love and the idea that no matter what is going on, there is always beauty to be seen.

Kyle Krauskopf (@kylekrauskopf) | Multi- disciplined artist Kyle Krauskopf is usually in motion. Filled with a desire to create art, build things, and help where he can he fills his days trying to “leave the place better than he found it.” Integral to the establishing of multiple art galleries and various businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest he is given to big and often grandiose ideas.

Morgan Stroope (@mccallswoodworks) | McCall’s Wood Works creates unique and handmade wood art. The artist, Morgan, uses the natural beauty from her home state of Idaho to inspire her work.

Laura Burkhart (@lauraburkhart) | Nature inspired sculptural woodwork that plays with shape, form and negative space. Using the organic texture of the wood as design elements in each piece, this work is an expression of life through its juxtaposition of fluid wood grain and geometric patterns.

Woodworking pieces are the perfect addition to your home decor, offering a unique blend of functionality and artistry. Each piece of handcrafted woodwork not only serves as a practical item but also as a statement of style and individuality. The warmth and natural beauty of wood bring a sense of coziness and elegance to any space, making it a versatile choice for both contemporary and traditional interiors. Whether it's a finely carved sculpture, a modern minimalist design, or a beautifully crafted piece of furniture, woodworking art adds character and a touch of nature to your home, creating an inviting and personalized atmosphere.
